Amateur Rowing Association. The ARA is the governing body for the sport of rowing in Great Britain, responsible for representing GB's interests to FISA, and for the preparation, training and selection of GB teams. The ARA is also responsible for the organisation and development of rowing in England. See site for news and lots of interesting info.
The IARU is the Governing Body for Rowing in Ireland and represents over 100 Clubs across Ireland.
The building is raised on columns above water meadows beside the Thames at Henley. The Museum has three main galleries devoted to the River Thames, the international sport of rowing and the town of Henley
