Staff are all very friendly and helpful making my visit both useful and pleasurable

Highly recommended. This builder came was recommended to me from several people, I have had all my kitchen work tops replaced, the island moved and extended to create a breakfast bar. He has built me a porch, and a gorgeous conservatory. He has also beautifully paved all around the house and driveway. Then he made a large bespoke shed, tiled my bathroom, and converted a balcony back into part of the original room and fitted windows. All the work was done to exacting standards, in a professional way, clean, tidy, and on time and working to an agreed schedule and at competitive prices. I can not recommend this gentleman highly enough and have engaged him to renovate an entire bungalow in the near future.

He managed the job brilliant from start to finish and his work was faultless, always went out of his way to ensure deadlines were met and to the standards we expected. Would not think twice in recommending him for any carpentry and renovation work. A true professional with a friendly service, we regularly get compliments on the work he has done. Sought help via Google and found Colin's garage, Bude. Job sorted, great people, lovely atmosphere and refused to take any payment for the new screws and time to re fix the tray.

Fantastic service when we visited Cornwall on holiday and had car problems on the way down. Was not going to make it back without total break down but Dave went out his way to fit us in and carry out the repairs necessary.

Kernow Garage is my local garage in Bude, they offer MOTs, services, diagnostics, car repairs, and all types of car parts. It is run by Dave James who is absolutely lovely - I would not trust my car with anyone else!

Used GB Locksmiths when our patio doors on our holiday chalet refused to open. They were courteous, friendly and reliable and fixed it without having to resort to replacing the entire door. Have used them before and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. Reasonable price too. :-)

We needed a mallet and filter for our caravan while we were away. Lovely store with just about everything you want for caravan and camping. Very knowledgeable and helpful staff.

Pretty good. It's a good size with lots of choice and plenty of parking space. Aim to arrive dead on opening time. Not quite enough time between opening and the traders starting to pack up to comfortably browse all the stalls.

In my experience Ken is a bit of an exception in the honesty and pride that he brings to the work he does. I have found him easy to deal with, completely reliable and willing to go the extra mile, while charging a very fair rate. I would recommend him for all aspects of property maintenance without any reservations.

Bude computers (Dan) is a great company and they are more interested in customer service than just making money. Yesterday I emailed Dan asking him for a home visit to fix my printer. He told me when he could come, but suggested I try a fix for my self, giving me step by step advice. I followed this advice and fixed the problem, for free, so he fixed it for me and did himself out of a home visit and the fee. Brilliant service and I have no hesitation in recommending Bude Computers - a first class company. Thank you.

If you've got an IT/Computing issue this is the shop you need to go to! Dan sorted me out a gaming PC last year and it's still rocking to this day, with added peace of mind knowing that if I have any issues I can take it into somewhere where they know what there doing and are going to be fair and honest. Highly recommended!

I have been using Sam for a couple of years now. He is knowledgeable, reliable and good at what he does. I would definitely recommend him for all electrical work.

Upon reccomendation from a friend, I hired funbounce parties for my son's birthday and cannot fault the service. My son and all his friends thoroughly enjoyed their afternoon, the service was delivered on time and with a smile and Ben could not have been more helpful. Loved this place. An ideal place for a tea, cake and a catch up. Plants always look colourful and love potting around with the dog. Staff always make an effort, friendly and warming. Good prices and even better sale items. Will be back again soon!!!

We love the girls in here. They are fantastic with our two boys, 3 and 4 making them feel relaxed and have fun. Even help them wash their hands after. Aaron was very helpful and efficient sorting out my trailer policy which had been proving difficult with other providers. Glad I found this company.

Easy and nice parking...the library is situated in a lovely spot close by Bude castle and Summerleaze beach. Books are limited as library is not especially big but you can always order them online and collect them in the building. Free WiFi pass is easily accessible and fast. Teens section is very small but good, children’s is bigger but again, there’s a good selection. Staff are friendly and helpful.

I have used Mark at Decor8 on several occasions for painting or decorating jobs but also for wallpapering which I hate. Mark always turns up when he says he will and leaves the place spotless on finishing. One particular wallpapering job he did for me was really hard to match but he did a perfect job. He also papered a ceiling for me. I have used other decorators before but then someone told me about Decor8 as they had painted a new house for them. I've not used anyone else since. If you want a quality job done at the right price I have no hesitation in recommending Mark 100%

We are so happy we chose A Very Cornish Wedding to photograph our wedding!! Ian was really fun to work with - funny, charismatic and accommodating. He took such beautiful photos that captured our special moments in a unique and creative way. We can't stop looking at them! We had typical wet weather on the day but the umbrellas were genius and have ending up being our favourite shots - so natural, no posing...completely captured the feeling of the day. We've already shown lots of our pictures (from the beautifully presented USB) to friends & family and they are raving about them too. I want to say thank you to Ian Wallace for being there on our big day. I cannot really find the words to express how perfect all of the photographs are. You captured our overwhelming feelings from the day in such a natural, beautiful and innovative way. The photographs brought back many intense emotions from tears to so much laughter, we cannot thank you enough. We had quite a bit go wrong on the day, and a lot of things didn’t go to plan, but spending some time looking over these together brought us back to all the little moments we loved about the day.  You were an absolute joy to work with and as we were super awkward when our photos had to be taken, you made us feel comfortable and relaxed, and we could not have asked for more. Best Chinese takeaway in and around the Bude area in my opinion. I have never had a bad dish from here. We always use Chung's. There is no dedicated parking but street parking is available.

Delicious food that’s prepared well... it’s not swimming in grease, it’s well made and totally yummy. Locals all agree it’s the best Chinese in Bude. Favourite dish is the crispy shredded beef 👍🏽 They do delicious sweet and sour too, though!

Passing thru on the way back from Cornwall and stopped in for kebabs and burgers. I can highly recommend, the chicken and lamb was of high quality and cooked so that it was so tender, kids had chicken burgers which they also enjoyed. I most certainly would eat here again.

All the food is prepared to order, so every order is fresh. Staff are friendly and helpful. The donner meat is tender and has great flavour, the salad that accompanies it is so fresh, and the whole chilli pepper that comes with it is a nice touch. It sets the standard for donner extremely high, we ate from here 2 nights in a row it was that delicious. If I ever come back to Bude I will definitely eat here again!

Seeing that there was only one bad review, I thought I'd better leave my own experience here. Have used twice in the buying and the selling of a property. All appeared well however when selling the property the solicitor stated that mistakes had been made the first time and she gave us a discount because of it. Have found them to be friendly, professional and certainly in the case of the second time, extremely thorough.

Absolutely brilliant service. I needed rescuing from an over ambitious coast path walk and called Alpha taxis as my sister had found their number for me. (Not much mobile broadband on the coast path). We arranged a meeting point and, i think his name was Steve, arrived before his ETA, I could have hugged him. He is very knowledgeable about the coast path and Bude in general. I will certainly contact this firm next time I am in the area. Thank you .

Excellent guy, he couldn't do enough for us! He managed to get us into a restaurant (which was amazing) when everywhere was closing and mega busy and then knocked a couple of quid off the fare. We can't recommend him highly enough.

UNBELIEVABLE SERVICE !!! live in Cumbria. Booked ( Phil ) Bayside taxis. to meet our flight from Newcastle E T A Exeter 21.40. Flight was delayed by almost 4 hours. Guess what ? Phil was waiting for us !. On arrival in Bude approx 03.30 asked how much extra for the waiting time . His reply was , we always honour our bookings, you owe me nothing. Not many ( if any at all ) Phils in todays world. Many thanks Phil and Leeanne.

📱Very friendly knowledgeable staff which is a good job really as the next mobile phone shop is at least half an hour away. They sell pay as you go phones as well as contracts. Surprisingly they also do Sky TV and broadband deals. A good choice of phones and they deal with all the networks except O2.

Took our 2 yr old GR for her vaccination, she hates the vets and refused to move from the waiting room. The vet was more than happy to check Daisy over and give her a han in the boot of the car. Making the trip alot less stressful for all. 👍😁
