Nice shop, quite well laid out but a little cramped

Cerenety Eco Camp Site

Treeways, Lynstone Lane, Bude EX23 0LR, UK – 07429 016962

Wonderful place to all nature lovers. There is a few animals on site (including two Alpacas), plants, vegetables (you can have some of them!). Fires are allowed (or even encouraged). You can use your own wood or buy for £4 a bag. You also can rent Dutch Oven for a few pounds and make some delicious food over the fire!! If you not bothered about luxury (and long hot showers - hot water is provided only by solar panels) it the place to go.

Lovely campsite offering something a bit different with a real eco/earth-centric focus. The facilities provide everything you would need and are clean, but don’t expect modern luxury - the 3x toilets are sawdust composting loos (very clean but no water involved!) and the two showers again are clean but not very warm as they are solar powered. All part of the experience! There is a magical veg patch and green house, pond and lots of animals. The owners are brilliant - helpful and flexible. All in all a great ‘low impact’ camping experience.

Charities & Voluntary Organisations

RNLI Bude Lifeboat Station

Summerleaz Beach Car Park, Bude EX23 8HN, UK – 01288 352971

The association provides free lifeguards for the nearby beach and this small shop provides them with much needed funds. I found the staff really helpful and the choice and quality of gifts to be excellent.

Amazing people.

Charity Shops

British Red Cross shop

14 Queen St, Bude EX23 8BB, UK – 01288 355945

This shop has vastly improved in recent months since previous management has presumably moved on. I have been visiting this shop for years.

Save The Children

3 Queen St, Bude EX23 8AY, UK – 01288 353157

Plenty of stock but really not enough space to show it properly, with many items being obscured by others.

B&M Bargains Store with Garden Centre

Unit C Binhamy Retail Park, Stratton Rd, Bude EX23 8AF, UK – 0330 838 9068

Just been in to ask about discounted plants for a community festival. Manager was really helpful and donated some lovely flowers. Many thanks.

Can not thank B&M in Bude for their generosity in donating plants and compost to help renovate the garden for the disabled children at Budehaven School. You are amazing
