Key Useful Features

One of the major reasons why 1000s of people use the 2day system is because of the sheer convenience of having local information focused exactly on their house and location - or where they want to be tomorrow. This information will often include maps.

To make it work, simply enter your postcode in the top left box, click GO, and you will be within three clicks of everything you need locally (actual telephone numbers and maps!). Any section with a red L next to it will either refocus for you or contains information local to the local site. In addition the whole of the Local Information area will locate to any spot in the UK but watch for the little red L logo anywhere on the site.

Search engines cannot find the best / cheapest / most useful sites on their own. That takes time and editorial experience of the searcher.

2day Microportal websites will get you to the best websites in each interest area - within 3 clicks, e.g. the fastest routefinder, the best free virus checker, the cheapest cross channel ferry service, the best utility price checkers, the best junk mail blocker etc. Any section with a little N box (for national) will get you to some of the best sites in any given area.

The system remembers what you are interested in. Click a heading like SHOPS AND SERVICES and it will stay open until you close it again - even though you turn off you computer.

These are designed to help you use the 2day system, keep up-to-date and enjoy life! There are two types - Local and Global.

These currently contain a Welcome board (with tips on how to use a 2day site), a daily Wit & Wisdom (usually a seriously good joke and very little wisdom) and a daily financial bulletin board.

These are specific to each 2day site but can contain local information, bloggs from the community or webmaster, emergency notices, relevant articles - anything which people using the 2day site are likely to find useful.
Once again the system will remember which board you used last and open it next time you use the system.

The vision is that once you use a 2day Microportal website you are home and dry!

If you go to the COMPUTER Area you will see the Must Have section. Once there you are within one click of downloading AVGs - an excellent free Virus Checker (which updates daily).
You can also download Spybot free. This will protect your computer registry from ?Invaders? which can compromise or damage your computer.

Additionally you will also have one click links to other key programs like radio players, Acrobat and Java which will simply install themselves on your computer and greatly enhance your use of the internet.

We obviously cannot take responsibility for the overall health of your computer but this section will help you use the Internet safely and fully.

1. Like an uncluttered website? You can zip up sections simply by clicking on them. Additionally you can even zip up the photo and the messageboards by clicking the bar above them.

2. Once you have registered yourself you can put your photo up and have your own colour scheme! When you login with your username and password go the Everyday Tools on the toolbar. The drop down menu will allow you to upload your photo / logo and customize the style and colours and appearance of the website for your own use.
