This post office surprised me. Staff were all clothed in waistcoats and formal attire and a large portrait of the queen hung grandly in the wall. Brilliant service delivered in a most pleasantly surprising way.

Northcott Mouth Car Park (National Trust)

Bude EX23 9ED, UK

Quiet beach along the coast path from Bude, sandy beach at low tide but pebbles at high tide. Car park & Margaret's Tea Garden nearby, well worth a visit. There's a life guard station but I think it's only manned during peak times - you'd need to check.

Lovely quiet spot for a day on the beach. Extra grass car park behind the one pictured. Lovely
